Several workshops are available in a convenient pre-recorded online format, so you can create anytime, anywhere. Additionally, you can connect with local makers and other community members in real time through our live streaming video workshop series this spring!

Craft Lake City and Google Fiber are pleased to present a six-part STEM Kids Online Workshop video series, produced to support Utah elementary schools in their remote learning efforts. We used the state curriculum guidelines for grades 3-5 to guide our selection of topics, focused on activities which can be done at home. Craft Lake City partnered with some of your favorite local artisans to curate fun DIY Kits! Each kit includes the supplies and written instructions to complete a fun, hands-on craft project at home. Some of the kit projects include a felt sloth wall hanging, robot ornaments, concrete planters, and constellations for kids. We’ll also have embroidered keychains and clay jewelry kits coming up soon! Supplies are limited, so get them while you can. Free domestic shipping or curbside pickup included!
The Craft Lake City Academy is a series of professional development workshops designed to educate and support local makers as they build creative businesses. The first virtual class focuses on Building an Online Store, and is taught by two seasoned local creative business owners, Quinell Dixon of Embrogo Brand and Sarah Anderson of City of Industry. As the situation surrounding the novel coronavirus continues to evolve, Craft Lake City would like to affirm our commitment to our creative community. The safety and success of our local makers, volunteers, workshop instructors, event attendees and staff is important to Craft Lake City, and we are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 recommendations with regard to our public programming and future events. At this time, in-person workshops are canceled until further notice. We hope to reschedule them for a later date, and refunds have been provided to all ticket holders.
