Seeking Volunteers

Craft Lake City is seeking volunteers to assist in creating the 10th Annual DIY Festival. When you volunteer, you help support the local creative economy while meeting like-minded people and having fun! Volunteers are needed to assist with artisan load in and load out, kids’ crafts, beverage trailers, the Parenting Lounge, the Festival green team and more. Apply today to join our team of dreamers!

Craft Cocktail Workshop: Beehive Distillery

Craft Lake City and The Gateway are pleased to present the Spring 2018 Craft Cocktail Workshop Series! Join us for a spirited evening of tastings and education led by instructor Natalie Hamilton, a local bartender lauded for her bright and creative cocktails. In the May 9 workshop, we will be highlighting locally distilled barrel-aged gin from Beehive Distilling. Hamilton will demonstrate the recipe and process for crafting a delicious Spice Route cocktail featuring blackberry sage shrubs, handcrafted simple syrup, Bitters Lab bitters and more, mixed to perfection with Beehive's Barrel Reserve Gin. Small bites will be generously provided by Laziz Kitchen. Pre-registration required, must be 21 or older to participate. The Craft Cocktail Workshops will be held at The Gateway in a space directly south of The Buckle store at 133 South Rio Grande Street.

Charming characters and fanciful felting are the trademarks of artisan Stacie van Arsdale. The whimsical plush animals she offers through her business, Little Teeth Marks, have become DIY Festival favorites. In this workshop, Stacie will share her love of needle felting and help us engage our imaginations as we create darling felt sloths for magnets or brooches. Please note that all workshop participants are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop start time.
